I am a fully qualified and insured sports massage practitoner. Training for 2 years over 50,000 words in case studies, traveling to Bristol for practical training at a rescue centre. Then to norfolk for practical and written exam over 5 years ago with equine holstic training and therapy. I cover sports massage and also use a holistic massage which is great to help relax the horse before working with deep tissue and muscles. Proir to taking the equine route i gained a diploma in small animal care and also have studied and fully qualified human sports practitioner. And many many many years ago gained an NVQ in horse and stud managmemt. For the last 5 years i have been working part-time on a wide range of horses from top competition to happy hackers and retired family friends. Having slowly built up my business with returning customer. I love what i do and love seeing the horses enjoy it and the difference it makes. I am moving forward and taking on few new clients as space has allowed with clients moving away or giving up.
I have been around horses since the age of 4 no need to mention how long ago that was! At young age competing at show jumping at scarey heights if i think of it now. These days i enjoy dressage with my mare Madam Mimm, who i have owned for 8 years and she has bred me an amzing foal Mimbagos Malakai. And not forgetting my lovely 4 year old Nancarrow Apache a solid coloured appaloosa x , All 3 enjoy regular treatments and as i have owned them for some time we do start to get to know when somthing not right.
I enjoy my job and feel that it is not a job, yes i have to make living but as an owner i appreciate how expensive it is. And i really want every horse to feel comfortable and be at their best, and this means regular treatments . So i do try to keep prices fair and encourage people to get few yard friends to join the day keeping costs down.
